Na primeira página da última edição de um dos principais jornais de referência do país, "O Crime", Leonor Cunha, mãe do padre Frederico Cunha, diz que "se o meu filho está inocente, o Carlos Cruz também deve estar." Acabe-se imediatamente com a investigação. Depois de um depoimento destes não podem restar quaisquer dúvidas. Leonor Cunha diz ainda que o filho, que fugiu para o Brasil com o auxílio da igreja católica portuguesa depois de condenado por homicídio e abuso sexual de menores, "está a trabalhar nuns vídeos... mas abstractos" e esperemos que isso não queira dizer o que parece. Aproveitando a oportunidade, recorde-se outra grande manchete recente do "Crime" em que o jornalista Guilherme Melo, que por acaso é homossexual, afirmava que "na cama sou muito puta, mas não sou lésbica" e quem quiser interpretar isto está à vontade.
